Q: Please share what you have been up to recently. 

JR: Thanks to the fans, I have been able to meet you all through TV programs, and have been working hard to prepare our album and meet you through good music. Please anticipate.
Aron: Together with senior Raina from our company, I'm participating in her song <Loop> and working hard on promotions.
Baekho: I have been working on composing on the new album and diligently preparing for our fanmeeting on 26-27 August.
Ren: I have been receiving lots of love from the fans and spending my time happily. Currently, I'm enjoying communicating with the fans.

Q: Is there a song that you've been listening to often recently? 

JR: We recently released our special single 'If You', and I've been listening to that often.

#1: Dark Water

I watched this in the cinema for the first time with my mom and brother when I was 8 years old. I remember that it was prohibited for those below 15 but I think I got to go in because I was with a parent? (Baekho: If you’re 8 years old, it’s scary to watch anything in the cinema at all) That’s right. It was dark and loud (in the cinema), it became a trauma. Ahaha. Even now, when I take the eleveator, when I look at the water tank on the rooftop, or when it rains, that feeling from then comes back to me.

#2: Child’s Play

When I was young, at the nearby DVD rental an ahjusshi (middle-aged man) told me that ‘this one is fun’ so I watched it under his recommendation, and it’s a movie that I’ve already watched around 50 times. (Minhyun: Because of Ren, we also have been watching up to Season 5!) That’s right. We once borrowed a DVD on one of our rest days, and everyone liked it so we ended up watching all of it in one day (laughs) (Baekho: I thought that because a doll is the lead character, it wouldn’t be too scary but it was scary)

#3: Paranormal Activity

It’s a kind of low-budget movie where to uncover the identity of a mysterious phenomenon, a  camcorder is used in the lead character’s house……. The phenomenon of which in the middle of the night there are suddenly sounds and items flying from the bedroom. It has a sense of reality that seems like it can happen even in our real life, and is a really scary movie. (Baekho: We watched this movie at home with the members, Ren who was beside me kept scaring me out of nowhere.. that was more scary than the story (laughs))

But after Produce ended it was crazy, he really got hooked for real .. ㅋ

That time when Innisfree was distributing the posters he also asked me to queue together from the morning and I also lined up together with him at Labiotte (first time hearing this brand in my life). What's worse is that he sent me to the Hongdae store while he went to the Guro store.. I use cleansing oil so I have no use for cleansing water but because you can enter a chance for the fansign if you buy above a certain amount, he bought and gave 6 cleansing waters for me as a present ㅋ I use cleansing oil so I have no use for it but what is this, he tells me to drink it in the morning or something ㅜ

And last week it was our 600th day on Saturday but he said he had work and went to Seongnam ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But he always remembered and celebrated each of our 100 days every time and so at the thought of our date I was like looking for cafes in Itaewon but he suddenly said he was going to Seongnam ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Something felt weird so I searched it up and NU'EST was doing a concert there. Ah ah talking about it is really making angry so my face is getting red ㅋ

At the end because they couldn't do an encore so they said that they liked Look and sang a line from it, the high note was really clean. I saw them leave the venue and I figured out why people kept talking about their real-life appearance, after that I searched up fancams and almost stanned ㅠ

[INTERVIEW] NU'EST for W Korea

You have returned as a unit "NU'EST W". It's said that 'W' is the abbreviation, what have the members' each waited for the most?

JR: The thing that I waited for the most was to meet the fans. Since we are returning through the name of NU'EST after a long time through the album that we are preparing for now, I'm anticipating how the fans will take to it, and what kind of reactions we'll receive.
Baekho: In August, we have a fan meet. We always had the greed to try doing a concert in a big concert hall, since we had lots to show. Because it seems like we are approaching that dream a step at a time, with a fluttering heart, I'm awaiting the fan meet.
Aron: Because this is our first promotions in awhile, I'm extremely excited. I want to work hard and show good images without being shy to our fans who have been waiting for us.
Ren: Since it's been long since we last did album promotions, I'm awaiting the activities. I want to quickly go on music shows too, and I really missed the stage.

JR (Kim Jonghyun), Baekho (Kang Dongho), Ren (Choi Minki) - the three of you appeared in <Produce 101> and got to let yourselves be known to others. Another member of NU'EST, Hwang Minhyun also got into the top 11 and is currently promoting with Wanna One. Is there a reason why Aron was the only one who didn't go on the program? 

Aron: At that time, my knee wasn't in a good condition. Before that during events, I couldn't dance and it was the extent where I could only sing while sitting so I needed time to recover. Of course, because the members were on the show, I kept up with the show real-time. Because the members were receiving good reactions, I too, felt proud.
Ren: After the broadcast whenever we went back to the dorm, Aron-hyung would be waiting and made food for us too.

[INTERVIEW] NU'EST for Ceci Korea

"Throughout the interview, the words "family" and "brothers" were often mentioned. With the name of NU'EST W, the 4 of them who first came to our sides, they looked as strong and sturdy as much as the time that they had spent together." 

Including the news of 10,000 seats at the fan meet getting sold out in 3 minutes, several positive incidents have been happening. NU'EST W's first song "If You" is also maintaining its upper rank on music charts, and the mini concert on V Live also made you the 3rd idol to receive 100 million hearts. Personally, if there was one incident which was the most memorable, what would it be? 

JR: I'm most happy about the fact that the fan meet got sold out. We had a lot of worries about whether we would be able to fill up 10,000 seats at the fan meet. However, hearing that it got sold out in 3 minutes, it didn't seem real to us. 'When did we evolve into this? What is this?' We felt like this. 

Aron: Should I say that we're happy but bewildered?

Baekho: We mentioned a lot in the past that we wanted to do a fan meet. It feels like we're realizing a dream. It's also the first fan meet that we're doing as NU'EST W. 

JR: While doing many performances overseas, our parents have never once properly watched our concert/performance before. This time, it seems we'll be able to show ourselves (to our parents) in a wide concert hall. 

What do you think it'll be like when you get to show your parents yourselves on stage? 

Ren: I think that sense of reality will only occur to me when it actually happens. Right now, I cannot imagine it at all. 

[NEWS] NU'EST W, "We're very happy that 10,000 fanmeet seats sold out in 3 minutes"

[Sports Chosun] The 4 men of NU'EST W who have their first mini album ahead of them. JR, Aron, Baekho, Ren met with fashion magazine "CeCi", where they opened up about their full-swing activities as NU'EST W, the group that became a trend. 

In a relaxed atmosphere of the photoshoot, we focused on the intimate appearances of the 4 members of NU'EST W. 

We asked the NU'EST W members, whose pre-comeback song hit #1 on music charts and whose fanmeet seats sold out, what was the happiest thing for them personally. JR responded, "Recently, everything makes me happy, but I'm happiest with the fact that 10,000 of our fanmeet seats sold out in 3 minutes." Baekho, as expected, expressed his happiness saying, "A large scale fanmeet has always been one of our dreams", while Ren shared that it was getting recognized by diverse age groups, and Aron chose the fact that there's an increase in cases of him hearing NU'EST songs played on the streets. 

When asked for his thoughts on gaining huge popularity as a 6-year idol, JR revealed, "There are no changes to our members itself. Even before this, every moment was important to us. In the future we will continue to work hard", showing his leadership qualities. Members Aron and Ren, shared their resolution to get '#1 on a music show', as something that they must achieve this year.
